We sat down with the Head of Designs at Arkk Copenhagen to get some more insight by the mastermind behind the innovative designs at Arkk..

Hi Marco - Tell us a little about how you started out with Sneakers?

I was born in the Marche ( IT ) region in 1992. Coming from a family with a background in shoemaking and designing, I focused my studies on footwear design at Istituto Marangoni Milano in 2015. My experience in the industry began in 2009, gaining valuable insight working for prestigious shoemaking in Italy. In 2018 I left Italy to further advance my career in the international footwear sector.

Can you share with us some insights into your creative process?

I mostly take inspiration from daily life. Observing people and their needs is a fantastic way to improve your footwear designs. By understanding how people interact with their footwear in different situations and cultures, you can create designs that not only look great but also improve their lives in terms of comfort, functionality, and style.

Arkk Copenhagen is known for its sleek and innovative footwear designs. In your opinion, what elements are essential for creating a standout shoe in today's sneaker landscape?

Understanding the social perspective and context while briefing a collection can really elevate the meaning and impact of ours designs. By delving into the story behind each product, we believe we can create footwear that resonates with people on a deeper level and reflects the values and narratives that are important to our brand and our customers. This attention to detail and narrative can set your products apart in the market and create a stronger emotional connection with our customers and a new audience

The sneaker culture has evolved significantly over the years. How do you ensure that Arkk Copenhagen stays ahead of the curve and continues to resonate with sneaker enthusiasts while also appealing to a broader audience?

Staying true to our brand's story while continually innovating is key to staying relevant and inspiring others in the industry.
