Prior to the Olympic games in Mexico 68´The Puma Crack was released as the first "LIfestyle" shoe from Puma.
The name "Crack" derives from a meaning of a very skilful person - Later on this shoe should become a symbol for so much more.
During OS in Mexico the federations that was sponsored by Puma whore a blue Puma Crack - And the ones who wasent sponsored was given a black pair as Tommie Smith. Who later created the symbolic picture with the fist in the sky at the podium, whearing the black Puma Crack.
Fast forwad into the 70´s along came the sensation Clyde and he took NBA by storm and renamed the shoe to "Clyde" and due to diffirent name rights the name Suede replaced Crack and become a household staple in the coming subcultures as a gemini stone for the breakdancers..
